Start your day early, around 6:00 AM (pickup time may vary depending on your hotel), when our driver will transfer you to the airport for your 8:00 AM flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. Upon arrival at 9:15 AM, your driver-guide will take you on a scenic drive of approximately 1.5 hours to Tarangire National Park, sharing fascinating insights into Arusha’s history and the culture of the Maasai people along the way.
Tarangire National Park is famed for its incredible biodiversity and large elephant herds. Its landscapes vary from seasonal swamps to open savannahs, with the Tarangire River winding through the park. Keep your eyes peeled, you may spot lions stalking prey or leopards resting in the branches above.
Enjoy a packed lunch amidst the park’s scenic surroundings. Your afternoon game drive concludes around 4:00 PM, after which you will head to your lodge to unwind, enjoy dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the tranquility of the African wilderness.

After an early breakfast, you will descend the steep, forested slopes into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. As the forest gives way to open savannah, the wildlife comes into view, and with some luck, you may encounter the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard, within just a few hours. Along the way, keep an eye out for warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and some of the crater’s more than 500 bird species.
Following a morning of game viewing and a scenic picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the afternoon and transfer to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 PM flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, a guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel, where you can enjoy dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
