Gombe National Park
Gombe National Park is a narrow stretch of forest tucked into steep, mountainous terrain, where deep valleys descend to the shores of Lake Tanganyika. The park is best known for its chimpanzees, made famous by the groundbreaking conservation research of Dr Jane Goodall. Alongside chimps, visitors can spot other primates such as red colobus and blue monkeys. Popular activities here include chimpanzee trekking, hiking, birdwatching, and photography safaris, making Gombe a haven for nature and wildlife enthusiasts.
