Your adventure begins with a scenic flight from Zanzibar to the heart of the Serengeti, where an afternoon game drive explores the open plains, river valleys and dramatic kopjes of the Seronera region. The central Serengeti offers excellent year-round wildlife viewing, providing opportunities to encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and other iconic African wildlife.
Rise early on day two for a private morning game drive when wildlife is often most active, before travelling through the changing landscapes towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. The journey combines wildlife viewing with spectacular scenery as you move from the Serengeti plains into the volcanic highlands.
The final morning takes you deep into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive across its forests, grasslands and wetlands. After a picnic lunch, ascend from the crater and continue to Arusha for your evening flight back to Zanzibar.

A DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
Movement Scheduled flight generally 2 to 3 hours including possible stops
Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for a scheduled light-aircraft flight to Seronera. Your guide meets you beside the airstrip, and the safari begins as soon as the luggage is loaded into the private vehicle. Explore the Seronera Valley and surrounding kopjes through the afternoon. These central grasslands and river courses support resident wildlife throughout the year, making the route suitable outside migration months as well.
Central Serengeti supports wildlife throughout the year, so the guide works with the day’s conditions rather than relying only on migration movements. River valleys, kopjes and open plains are explored at a pace that leaves time to watch behaviour instead of moving immediately after each sighting.
An early start often provides cooler temperatures and softer light. Guests may carry a picnic for a wider circuit or return to camp during the warmer middle hours. The afternoon drive is adjusted after lunch, using fresh reports while avoiding unnecessary repetition.
Movement Central Serengeti to the crater highlands about 3.5 to 4.5 hours excluding wildlife stops

After lunch, begin the game-drive transfer southeast through the Naabi Hill area and into the Ngorongoro highlands. Descend early for a focused crater safari across forest, grassland and wetland habitats. Your guide plans the route around current conditions and the time required to reach Arusha Airport. After a picnic lunch, ascend and drive directly to Arusha for the evening Zanzibar flight. The package is sold only against a flight schedule that protects both the crater experience and check-in time.
The crater day begins early because descent roads, park traffic and wildlife movement are usually most favourable in the cooler morning. Once on the floor, the guide links the open grasslands, forest margins, wetlands and lake area according to current conditions instead of following a fixed loop.
A picnic lunch is taken only at an authorised site. The guide manages the available crater time carefully, allowing patient viewing while preserving enough time for the ascent and onward drive. Black rhino and other individual species are possible, but their presence can never be promised.
