Begin in Arusha and travel into the Ngorongoro Highlands, preparing for an early descent into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Spend a full day exploring the crater floor, where grasslands, woodland and wetlands create a rich environment for wildlife viewing, before returning to the highlands for the evening.
Continue south towards the Ndutu plains, a seasonal wildlife landscape shaped by rainfall, fresh grass and the movement of migrating herds. Spend a full day exploring the short-grass plains and surrounding woodland, with opportunities to encounter large herds, predators and other wildlife as conditions allow.
After your final morning, begin the scenic return journey to Arusha through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and highlands.
