Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will begin your day with breakfast before being picked up from the hotel by Safari guide. From there, you’ll embark on a drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Tarangire is one of Africa’s hidden treasures, offering an unforgettable experience for those who appreciate wilderness and solitude. The park takes its name from the Tarangire River, which serves as the only water source for wildlife during the dry season. The park’s landscape is uniquely diverse, unlike any other on the northern safari circuit. It features iconic ancient baobab trees, regarded by the Maasai as the first tree of creation, alongside giant termite mounds scattered across the terrain. During the dry season, the relentless sun bakes the earth into a dusty red hue, while the wet season transforms the park with lush greenery and tall grasses. In the evening, you’ll head to your accommodation to unwind, enjoy dinner, and spend the night

After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up and take you to Lake Manyara for a full-day game drive. Although Lake Manyara has become more of a forest park in recent years, it has retained its charm and continues to offer visitors a truly unique experience. While it has the smallest number of mammals among the parks in the Northern Circuit, it compensates with its remarkable wilderness, featuring scenic landscapes such as the Rift Valley, dense woodlands, and picturesque mountainsides. Lake Manyara serves as an excellent starting point for any adventure. Located in the Northern Circuit of Tanzania, it is just 130 kilometers from Arusha, a drive of approximately two hours. As the afternoon draws to a close, you will head to your accommodation for some relaxation, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Known as “the endless plains” by the nomadic Maasai, the Serengeti will leave you in awe with its incredible abundance and diversity of wildlife. The park is home to the Big Five—lion, leopard, bush elephant, African buffalo, and black rhino—and is renowned for its annual migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras traverse the plains. Full Day at Serengeti National Park

The sounds of Africa gently wake you from a restful night, and you will freshen up before heading to the main area for breakfast. Afterward, your driver-guide will take you on a full-day game drive in the Serengeti. For wildlife enthusiasts, the Serengeti is a paradise. Here, you’ll encounter the real-life inspirations for Disney’s “The Lion King,” with around 3,000 lions roaming the vast ecosystem. These majestic creatures are relatively easy to spot, not only due to their numbers but also because they spend up to 20 hours a day lounging under the trees. In addition to lions, the Serengeti is home to bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, and a rich array of bird species, including the Kori bustard and Fischer’s lovebird. As the day winds down, you’ll return to your lodge, which is nestled within the park and offers spectacular views.
